Our coaching is designed for filmmakers and editors at any stage of their career. Whether you're learning the basics or refining complex edits, these 1:1 sessions give you focused, practical feedback to improve your skills faster and with more clarity than going it alone.

Coaching sessions are fully tailored to your needs. You can submit your own work for review or be set specific editing tasks by Paddy. Sessions typically focus on storytelling, structure, pacing, and creative decision-making—depending on where you are in your project or career.

Paddy Bird, the creator of Inside The Edit, is an accomplished editor and director with over 25 years of experience. He’s worked across multiple genres—including documentaries, reality TV, news, and entertainment—for many of the world’s leading broadcasters. He brings this depth of industry expertise directly into your 1:1 feedback sessions.

No. Coaching is open to anyone looking to improve their creative editing skills, whether or not you’ve purchased the Inside The Edit creative editing course.

Each session lasts 60 minutes and is structured to give you maximum creative feedback and support within that time.

All coaching sessions are conducted online via Zoom, making it easy to connect from anywhere in the world.

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel a session as long as you provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to email any questions or thoughts between sessions, and we’ll cover them in your next meeting.

You’re welcome to take notes during the session, and recordings can be provided upon request.

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Coaching sessions are $400 each. Discounted rates are available for blocks of 3 or 5 sessions, as well as for weekly sessions booked over 6 or 12 months.

You may cancel your purchase within the 14-day cooling-off period. If you begin a block of sessions during this period and request a refund, we’ll reimburse the remaining balance, minus $400 for each session already used—regardless of the discounted block rate.

All sessions must be used within 12 months of the original booking.

Yes. If you're looking to book multiple sessions for a team or organisation, please get in touch to discuss a tailored package.

Yes. You can either bring in past edits for review or Paddy can set custom creative tasks tailored to your goals.
